Bazaar of the Silk Road (Samarkand, Uzbekistan, 2007)
Samarkand is one of the most important stops along the famous Silk Road route, connecting China to Europe and passing through Uzbekistan. The ancient people of Soghdian inhabiting Samarkand were known as traders by birth. It is said, mothers would put honey to their babies’ mouths so they speak words as sweet as honey—an essential ability of the traders.
Bazaar Jalur Sutra (Samarkand, Uzbekistan, 2007)
