The Paradise in Winter

There, under the shades of the mountains, you will freeze at the land with no sunshine…

People of Hunza in Northern Pakistan warned me when I attempted to move further north, closer to the mountainous border of China and Afghanistan. Hunza and Gojal in Northern Areas of Pakistan (now known as Gilgit Baltistan province) are blessed (or cursed?) by snowcapped mountain ranges, among the highest in the world. They are majestic heavenly scenery, potential to attract international tourists, but with current situation in Pakistan, tourism is not in good shape anyway. While most tourists come in summer, I arrived in Chapursan in winter, when sunshine does not come to villages for two and a half months continuously.

Unlike most parts of Pakistan, the people in Hunza and Gojal believe in Ismaili sect of Islam, which are very moderate and forward-looking. Good education to both boys and girls result in the highest literacy rate nationwide. The Ismiali spiritual leader, His Highness Aga Khan insisted that girl education has to be prioritized as woman will teach the whole family. Mehmannavazi, or hospitality, is the way of life here, as the culture dictates them. There might be no sunshine up there, but there is always sunshine deep in heart.

Hellow everybuddy…I had an immense pleasure after visiting this web site…this web site provides a bundle of information and resources concerning the Gojal valley in general and Gulmit in particular. I m a resident of Gulmit, but am out of town for the last couple of years for the seeking of education. I m doin BBA(H) from the National University of Modern Languages Islamabad. Currently I m in the fourth semester of my course and intend to go abroad for further studies after I get done with BBA. The attribute for my success goes to my school that I will never forget i.e. Al Amyn Model School Gulmit Gojal. This school provides an educational plateform for the youth and the intellectuals of Al Amyn Model School would groom and prove to be the most dramatic force that would decide the destiny of the youth in the future. The efforts of the local community of Gulmit has indeed taken a practical turn towards the seeking of knowledge.
I would like to thank avugstin for creating such a web site will a lot of resources.

    Dear All:

I am the president of Alamynik (Ex-Students Association of Al Amyn Model School Gulmit). Al Amyn Model School is situated at an elevation of 8000 feet. It is a community based school built with a vision of catering to the academic needs, helping intellectual grooming, and facilitating leadership potential of the youth of the region. It is situated in a valley named as Gulmit Gojal north of Hunza in the Northern Areas of Pakistan.

As I mentioned earlier that Al Amyn Model School is a community based institution, so the school needs to find the sources for funding in order to carry out its activities smoothly. It is for this reason that I am writing here. If there is anybody intrested to make contribution to a good cause by donating to Al Amyn Model School, please e mail me on my addresses for further information and to know about the proper channel to supply the funds: gojal_1@yahoo.com and gojal1star@gmail.com or call me @ +923455918132

Your contributions can change the future and the future of the new generation depends upon your contributions.

valuable information about heart attack: do you care your health if not than think right now……

    “Importance of having Breakfast”

Breakfast can help prevent strokes, heart attack and sudden death. Advice on not to skip breakfast!

    Healthy living
For those who always skip breakfast, you should stop that habit now! You’ve heard many times that “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.” Now, recent research confirms that one of the worst practices you can develop may be avoiding breakfast.

    Why?

Because the frequency of heart attack, sudden death, and stroke peaks between 6: 00a.m. and noon, with the highest incidence being
between 8: 00a.m. and 10:00a.m.What mechanism within the body could account for this significant jump in sudden death in the early
    morning hours?

    We may have an Answer.

Platelet, tiny elements in the blood that keep us from bleeding to Death if we get a cut, can clump together inside our arteries due to
cholesterol or laque buildup in the artery lining. It is in the morning hours that platelets become the most activated and tend to form these internal blood clots at the greatest frequency.

However, eating even a very light breakfast prevents the morning platelet activation that is associated with heart attacks and strokes. Studies performed at Memorial University in St.Johns, Newfoundland found that eating a light, very low-fat breakfast was critical in modifying the morning platelet activation. Subjects in the study consumed either low-fat or fat-free yogurt, orange juice, fruit, and a source of protein coming from yogurt or fat-free milk. So if you skip breakfast, it’s important that you change this practice immediately in light of this research. Develop a simple plan to eat cereal, such as oatmeal or Bran Flakes, along with six ounces of grape juiceor orange juice, and perhaps a piece of fruit. This simple plan will keep your platelets from sticking together, keep blood clots from forming, and perhaps head off a potential Heart Attack or stroke. So never ever skip breakfast

  30. dear all,
Some educators breathed a sign of relief, thinking that Texas science classes might be spared religious controversy. Yet buried in the TEKS existing standards is the reason that Texas could be the center of evolution’s next big battle: Section 3a reads: “The student is expected to analyze, review, and critique scientific explanations, including hypotheses and theories, as to their strengths and weaknesses using scientific evidence and information.” (Italics added.)
» Because it will improve our economic bas.
    with best wishes
